His Honorable the Mayor of eThekwini Municipality, Cllr Mxolisi Kaunda, invited various business Chamber representatives, the KZN Growth Coalition and departmental sector, representatives from big business and corporates within the City to join in this significant launch which was held early in September. Over the years, the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry NPC has partnered with eThekwini Municipality to strengthen the relationship between the city and business.
The Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the opportunity to support the city, and was pleased to see that the eThekwini Municipality had taken specific action to collaborate with businesses to find solutions that address our ailing economy.
“We as organised business are optimistic that this social compact will provide strategic advice and insight to economic development matters, and promote creative and innovative solutions to pressing issues.
